Ms. Aishath Zahira was appointed as the chairperson of the CMDA board effective from 10th January 2021. She held the position of the Deputy Governor of Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA), and left MMA in July 2020 after a tenure spanning 31 years in various capacities within MMA after completion of two consecutive six-year terms as the Deputy Governor.

Mr. Maniku was appointed as the chief executive officer of the CMDA and board of directors effective from 13th January 2021. He held the position of the Chief Executive Officer of Maldives Pension Administration Office (MPAO) from 2009-2019. He has over 38 years of experience in various capacities within the public sector.

Ms. Mariyam Visam was appointed as a board member of CMDA in January 2014 pursuant to her appointment as the Registrar of Companies (ROC). Prior to her appointment as the ROC, she held the position of the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of CMDA. During her tenure at CMDA, she was the Director General for Pension Supervision and the CMDA representative on the board of Maldives Pension Administration Office (MPAO).

Ms. Nadhiya was appointed as a member representing the Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) on the CMDA board effective from 25th November 2020. She is currently the Senior Executive Director of Banking Operations Area at MMA. She has over 26 years of experience in MMA and has served in various capacities within the Bank.

Mr. Haleem was appointed as a member representing the private sector on the CMDA board in February 2021 representing the private sector. He is currently the Head of Finance of Villa Air Pvt Ltd. He has over 13 years of experience in the public and private sector.

Mr. Mohamed Fizan – Private Sector Representative

Mr. Fizan was appointed as a member representing the private sector on the CMDA board in March 2023. He is currently the Managing Partner of Fizan & Partners LLP. He has over 20 years of experience in the public and private sector. 

Ms. Mariyam Shahida is currently serving as Director General of the Corporate Affairs Department at the Ministry of Finance. She holds an MBA from the Australian Institute of Business, and is currently pursuing her PhD in Management at Universidad Alder’s Gate.
