About Pension Supervision

CMDA is entrusted with the responsibility to supervise the Maldives Retirement Pension Scheme under the Maldives Pension Act (8/2009).
Pension Supervision Department was established by CMDA pursuant to section 5 of the Maldives Pension Act (8/2009) for the purpose of:
  1. Supervising the investment of pension assets and their investment performance
  2. Formulating procedures for preparation and publication of reports in relation to the Maldives Pension Retirement Scheme
  3. Monitoring appointment of members to the Board of the Pension Office and reports they are required to prepare under this Act
  4. Taking actions necessary for the enforcement of this Act
