The Local Authority Companies' Directors' Training Programme is designed to enhance the knowledge, skills, and values required of directors serving on Local Authority Companies.
The programme focuses on corporate governance, the duties and responsibilities of directors, and the legal and regulatory framework governing Local Authority Companies in the Maldives, including the Corporate Governance Code, Companies Act, taxation requirements, and anti-corruption laws.
In addition, the programme provides practical knowledge and tools to strengthen business judgement, decision-making, financial literacy, ethical leadership, and risk management.
This programme is self-paced, delivered via the CMDA training platform, and available throughout the year. Participants must complete the programme within one year of enrollment. A completion certificate will be provided to participants who achieve a passing mark of 70% by completing the quizzes in each session of the programme.

Participants may
complete the programme at their own convenience. However, newly appointed
directors are required to complete the programme within six (6) months of their
appointment.
Programme access
is valid for one (1) year from the date of successful enrollment. Participants
who do not complete the programme within this period must register again.
Assessment
& Certification
Each learning
module includes a 10-question multiple-choice assessment designed to evaluate
participants' understanding of the course content.
To successfully
complete the programme and receive a Certificate of Completion, participants
must:

- A minimum score of 70% is required to complete the modules.
